The season that we are now in began in 2012. One of the key words in our Netherlands Prophetic Council word for that year was “SHIFT!” The Church has entered a new era of revival and reformation and a new race of priest-kings is being released by God for it.
Back then we wrote:
“Apostles and prophets will be raised up who have the wisdom, strategy and grace to mentor and disciple people who can lead corporations as CEO’s, entrepreneurs, heads of communities, states and even nations. Apostles and prophets will not just plant and build churches, but they will have the structures for managing and rebuilding ruined cities and nations. Prophets will serve in government, helping to structure the educational policy of nations, etc.”
Netherlands Prophetic Council Word for 2016 by Arleen Westerhof
Introduction
The prayer movement would begin to play a big role in all of this. 2012 was also the year in which God challenged several of us to pray for practical wisdom to solve the problems of our world. Among other things, this led to the European Economic Summit which took place in 2014 in Amsterdam.
In 2013 one of our council members wrote in her prophetic word that it would be a year in which rich nations which had never known food shortages would experience them. During that summer 25% of the Russian grain harvest was destroyed by drought. Russia supplied more that 50% of the world’s grain at that time and for the first time in modern history several rich nations suffered food shortages.
2014 was the “year of the evangelist and of the open doors.” Back then we prophesied that great doors of opportunity for the preaching of the gospel would be opened. We also prophesied that a double-door of opportunity was opening up to marketplace ministers. The “Marketplace Movement” become established in Europe.
Finally, the word for 2015 was “Ten times better.” 2015 was the year in which we would see the unprecedented advance of the kingdom of God become reality in the nations. Our understanding of the meaning of the Gospel of the Kingdom was maturing and a new missions mandate was being released to the Church of Jesus Christ: “The gospel to every tongue, tribe, nation and sphere of influence on the planet.”
The Spirit of God was releasing supernatural wisdom and creativity in a measure that we have not seen since the times of Joseph, Daniel and Solomon. There was a feeling of urgency last year as the eyes of the Lord began to roam to and fro across the earth looking for those who would dare to believe that they could transform systems and nations in His name and who were prepared to receive the wisdom that God so badly wanted to pour out.
Other things that we have prophesied since 2012 are still in the process of being fulfilled. The Netherlands Prophetic Council word for 2016 does not mean that the other words are no longer valid. Instead, it is supplemental to them.

Ten times better! Netherlands Prophetic Council Word for 2015
by Arleen Westerhof
2015 is the year in which we will see an unprecedented advance of the Kingdom of God throughout the nations. Our understanding of the precise meaning of the Gospel of the Kingdom has been maturing and a new missions mandate is being released to the Church of Jesus Christ: “The gospel to every tribe, tongue, nation and sphere of influence on the Earth.”
The Spirit of the Lord is releasing supernatural wisdom and creativity among God’s people the likes of which have not been seen since the times of Joseph, Daniel and Solomon. There is a sense of urgency this year as the eyes of the Lord search for those who would dare to believe that they can transform nations in His name and who are prepared to receive the wisdom that He wants to pour out for our times.
Daniel in Babylon
We are living in a time which strongly resembles the time in which Daniel lived. The governments and spiritual climates in many of our nations are no longer Christian. In Europe we have actually become Christophobic. The Biblical book of Daniel is therefore very relevant for us in this season. Every one of us is called to be a Daniel in Babylon. The book was written in a time of national crisis. The people of God had been exiled, the temple destroyed and they were now living in one of the most godless empires in history – Babylon!
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” (Dan. 1:8).
Daniel’s lifestyle of intimacy with God and his willingness to allow God’s preparation processes to work in his life had had their effect by the time that he was carried away into exile. Daniel had become a man with a good character. He was so in love with God that he was prepared to give up everything, including his life if necessary, to obey his God. In this season we are going to see many believers displaying radical love for Jesus and becoming a testimony to the nations: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives, even to the death.” (Rev. 12:11).
Ten Times Better!
The result was that God gave Daniel favor and wisdom to come up with practical solutions: “Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, ‘I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and drink. For why should he see your faces looking worse than the young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the king.’ So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, ‘Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants.’ So he consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days. And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies. Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.” (Dan. 1:9-15).
God didn’t only give Daniel and his friends favor, He gave them wisdom and understanding which made them ten times better than all of the others around them: “Now at the end of ten days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. Therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them then times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.“ (Dan. 1:18-20).
God is busy doing the same thing today. For those who embrace the kingdom paradigm there will be downloads of ideas from heaven. These will be filled with such a high degree of supernatural wisdom that they will be much better than anything those who do not have the Spirit of God living in them can come up with.
In 2015 God is going to display His glorie and His multifaceted wisdom by giving templates for (social) transformation so that the world will know that He lives and that He loves them. These templates will be especially prominent in the areas of government, business and economics, and technology. I keep hearing God speaking about “information travelling at the speed of light.” This technology doesn’t exist yet but when it comes it will impact our economies and permanently change the way we communicate.
Quick transitions and new callings
2015 will see some making surprising career changes this year. This will apply especially to some who have always thought that they would be in full-time ministry for the rest of their lives. In 2015 God will call some of these to step into the arenas of government, business, the media, etc. for His Name’s sake and for the advancement of theKingdom on the Earth. Others will be called to make quick geographical shifts.
The Power of God on Europe
In preparing for this word God gave me a dream. In the dream I was at a revival service in a massive stadium. This stadium was much bigger than anything in existence. It was so big that you couldn’t see the other end of it and it was packed with people of every race and from every nation. There were several podia in the stadium and all sorts of revival activities were going on there.
The people in my section were from Europe. We were way up in the bleechers and it was hard to see and hear what was going on the podia below. Not far from me there was a woman holding what looked like a baby boy with blond hair. There was a divine light from heaven shining on him. I spoke to the woman and she explained that her boy was not a baby, but that his spine was so crippled and badly deformed that he was locked into a twisted and distorted fetal position. He desperately needed to be healed.
I laid my hands on her son to speak out healing over him and was filled with an overwhelming sense of the love and the compassion of God. Others in our section had also seen the light on this child and had gathered around to join us. As we prayed, power from heaven hit the boy. His legs shot out and his torso straigthened up. I took him from his mother and stood him up on his feet. He seemed to grow before our eyes. The dream ended with the power of God still all over him and him trying to straighten up his shoulders, neck and head.
2015 will be the year in which God’s power will start to heal the Church in Europe. For many years it has been powerless, crippled and almost unrecognizable. God however is not finished with His Church.
This year we will see signs, wonders and miracles being released in churches across denominations. This display of the supernatural power of God will restore the Church’s faith in Jesus Christ. Once again we will start to believe that God is able to do what He says He will. This outpouring of the supernatural will also cause accelerated growth and maturity among believers. Unity between networks and denominations will increase as we grow in the realization that we need each other. We will also start to see greater numbers of believers rise up with the delegated authority that Chirst has given them and disciple nations. This process will continue for several years.
Upheavals
In 2015 light will exist beside great darkness on the Earth and we are really going to have to be careful about what we focus on. 2015 will be a year of dramatic uphevals and events that will threaten to shake our faith. More people will have to give their lives because of their faith. Nowhere in the Scriptures however are we commanded to focus on negative events. Instead, we are repeatedly commanded to fix our eyes on Jesus: “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our Faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Heb. 12;1-2).
An important strategy for individual believers for 2015 will be to cultivate intimacy with the Lord so that we will be able to trust Him and obey Him in everything. In 2015 worship will be extremely important: “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. I sought the Lord and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” (Ps. 34: 1, 4).
